We are currently in between churches, so we decided to make the most of the snowy morning before it all melted. Sutton got suited up in his cousin's hand-me-down pink snow boots, and I found a pair of ski bibs and snow boots that fit Ren perfectly that were also hand-me-downs that he'd never worn.
I think we were all sweating in our snow gear...it wasn't very cold and the snow was melting FAST. I'm glad we enjoyed it while we did!
This area of our yard looked cool from this view, but once you went inside of those trees, it was AMAZING. It was like Narnia. It was silent and white, and the branches kind of enclosed the space with the weight of the snow. It was so gorgeous.

I tried to photograph it but I couldn't really get the feeling of it across...
Diesel came with me into Narnia. He really loved the snow, which was surprising to me!
This was probably the most Narnia-feeling photo I got:
Diesel and I emerged and found the rest of our clan exploring in a different area.
So I headed over there and was able to get this pretty photo that I added an Easter verse to:
I rarely do morning shoots, but the sunlight was just perfect for these photos.

Daddy went and got out the sled and Sutton's 4-wheeler. We attached a rope between the two and Ren got a little ride! I wasn't sure what he would think, but he loved it.
The tires on the 4-wheeler kept getting snow-packed so it wasn't working well. Daddy disconnected the sled and pulled the boys around for awhile.

Ren kept holding onto the sides of the sled but then he would get snow all over his hands and kept asking us to brush them off.

He wasn't too sure about sitting in the snow...and he couldn't get up by himself!
So neat to see the contrast of all the spring buds with the snow and ice. Luckily nothing was killed since the snow all melted quickly and gave everything a much-need drink!
Adam went and got some juice out of the fridge and mixed it with snow and the boys enjoyed some snow slushies!
The night before the snow, I had been watching the weather on TV. The weatherman said to expect maybe an inch. We got 3.5 inches! Ren and I were the first ones up, and I took this photo before the sun was up.
As the sun rose, the sky kept making the snow look even cooler, so I kept taking photos of the progression. Look how different it looks each time! Nature is amazing.
Ren LOVED the snow...this was really his first experience with it outside of being an infant. He kept pointing and exclaiming "No! No!" (Snow! Snow!)
And the next morning, our view was completely green again. What a difference 24 hours can make!
Sunday afternoon, Adam's family came out for an Easter egg hunt and dinner, so we grabbed a few photos of that.
I thought this photo really showed the age and personality of each kiddo extremely well:

We only have a 4-person table, so the kids got to eat on the ottoman.
