14 Weeks {Baby #2}
How far along? 14 weeks
Weight gain: I decided to keep this question. :) I figured I might like to look back on this info in years to come. I've gained 7-8 pounds.
Baby is the size of a(n): Navel Orange
Food cravings/aversions: The potato salad craving is gone and that sounds disgusting now. I craved sugar cookies this week, and also wanted Chinese food one night, which NEVER happens. I've kinda had an aversion to pop unless it's 7Up to help my nausea.
Sleeping: Pretty much the same. Still turning side to side a lot, and getting up to pee a lot.
Milestones: Officially in the second trimester! One thing I read said Baby can now suck his/her thumb. I *think* I may have felt the baby move today. I didn't feel Sutton until almost 17 weeks, but they say you can feel sooner with subsequent pregnancies. As I progress, we'll see if this really was what I think it was. :)
How I'm Feeling: Always a bit sick to some extent, but it seems that every other day is REALLY bad. Then the next is okay. Also been having more round ligament pains, especially when I get up from laying down or bending over.
Interesting things that happened this past week/anticdotes: On the way to church Sunday, Adam had to pull the Jeep over on the side of the highway so that I could throw up out the door.

Bike Ride
Nothing ground-breaking here, I just happened to have my nice camera out with me photographing something for work while Adam was getting Sutton ready to go on a bike ride. They rode to the Nifty Nuthouse for some treats, and then went and ate their treats by the river. (Notice the band-aid on his head in the first two photos? Poor kid has horrible reactions to mosquito bites, but I took it off for the last two photos.)

13 Weeks {Baby #2}
How far along? 13 weeks
Weight gain: I don't know. I'm not going to keep track outside of when I go to the doctor and I'm actually going to eliminate this question after this week for my own happiness. :)
Baby is the size of a(n): Lemon
Food cravings/aversions: Craved potato salad, caramel Frappes from McDonald's, milk, sweet potato fries. Aversions are the same as they've been the whole time so far...chicken, vegetables, anything that has a strong smell, leftovers are hard to eat.
Sleeping: Has been rough right from the start. I'm sleeping on my sides instead of my stomach or back, and my hips start hurting, so I probably change sides about 15 times per night...no joke! I finally stole Adam's extra long pillow last week because it is long enough to go in between my legs and under my belly and up to my chest without being one of those huge body pillows.
Milestones: We'll be done with the first trimester on Saturday! Some pants no longer fit. I'm rocking the Bella Band, but not yet wearing maternity clothes.
How I'm Feeling: Sick. Still. I thought it would be done by now, but no dice. Work has been rough...I'm praying we're nearing the end! Also, fat. I know it's just Baby, but not everyone can tell that yet!
Interesting things that happened this past week/anticdotes: I have a doppler at home so I can listen to Baby's heartbeat. I think I started finding it myself around 9 weeks. Well, one day after Sutton's nap, we were laying in my bed watching a movie, and I was trying to find it. I couldn't find it and told Sutton that when I find it, it helps me know the baby is okay. So now every day after his nap, he asks me if I can try to find the baby's heartbeat. When I do, he says "Mommy I'm so happy you found it! Baby is okay!"
1st Trimester Belly Photos
I feel like with this pregnancy, I popped {or more likely bloated} almost immediately. I've never had a flat stomach, but I feel like I couldn't suck it in right from the beginning.
I've been taking these photos for 9 weeks now (the 13th one is to come...) and I'd never compared them until now. It's crazy to see the 5 week one in comparison to 12 weeks!
Week 8 was when we were in Michigan camping, and week 11 was taken with a timer because Adam wasn't home at all that day to take the photo.
I'm hoping to do weekly blog updates like I did with Sutton, so stay tuned for my 13 week post!

Announcement Photo Shoot
I had a few ideas for photos I wanted to have taken of us to announce our pregnancy. This is most likely the last time I will announce a pregnancy, so I wanted to do something special. My friend Jen (from the last post) was one of few people who knew I was pregnant. Since she'd shot two weddings with me while I was feeling nauseous...I found it only right to tell her. Ha! She's been so great throughout this whole thing, it was definitely fun to have her in the know!
I picked the place and had Jen bring the chalkboards and we did several different announcement poses, and then a couple of just us. I'm kicking myself for not having her take any of just Adam and I! Oh well, I'm certain there will be lots more family shoots in the future. :)
I believe I was just over 10 weeks when we took these, so YES! I am showing a lot sooner this time around... Already feeling large and in charge.

Back to School Photo Shoot
My awesome friend and fellow photographer Jen does these fun Back to School Mini Sessions. She graciously offered her set-up to me if I wanted to take some of Sutton since he started preschool this year. So we went out last night and spent about 10 minutes shooting before we were run off by disc golfers. This isn't the type of thing I usually do, so it was kinda fun! Thanks again, Jen!

Finding Out + Sonograms
We found out we were pregnant on June 18th, just a few days before Sutton's birthday. We'd decided I'd take the test that morning, so I woke up and took it while everyone else was still sleeping. The positive line showed up super super faint, you could only see it in the right light, but I'd always heard that no matter how light it was, it was a positive.
So I went into the bedroom, woke Adam, and said "I think I'm pregnant." We held each other for awhile and then went on with our day.
The next morning, I took another test and the line was a bit darker.
I took a third one the morning after that, and the line showed up even darker. I finally took a digital test on the third or fourth day.
We told Matt and Rachael that weekend because they came to town for Sutton's birthday party and I figured since they live out-of-town, this might be the only time either of us could share pregnancy news in person instead of over the phone. We had Sutton wear this shirt, and Rachael noticed right away.
Around 6 weeks, we told Sutton about the baby and he was SO excited. He still is. He's helped me get more used to the idea, actually. Shortly after, we told Adam's family with that same shirt. And then later that week, we told my parents with the shirt.
Five days before my first appointment (at around 9 weeks), I started bleeding. A lot. I was terrified. We were luckily able to get in for a sonogram that same day, and after all the nervousness and prayers, I saw this tiny little baby with a perfect heartbeat on the screen. Amazing.
Five days later, we went in for my regular appointment. These two weren't fans of our long wait. :)
We got a sonogram at that appointment too. This is Baby at 9.5 weeks.
The bleeding continued, so being the anxious person I am, I asked my doctor if I could have another sono around 11 weeks, and luckily they agreed. So here's Baby at just over 11 weeks. Measuring right on track with a strong heartbeat.
I'll be 13 weeks this Wednesday, and I'm pretty excited to be starting the second trimester!

Toronto Lake Weekend
The last weekend in July, Adam and Sutton went camping with Adam's sister Jessica, her hubby Steve, and their three kiddos. I was feeling sick (this pregnancy has been pretty rough...more on that later), so I stayed behind. :( It was sad, but I'm not sure I would've been much fun if I would've gone.
Sutton loves his three cousins so much, and since we live close by, they play together all the time. So they had a great time getting to hang out all weekend. Jessica did a good job of documenting the weekend, and she gave me all her photos from her phone so I could blog them.
I can't do much narrating, since I wasn't there, so I'll let the photos speak for themselves. One thing I did hear about...they took along a doll and named it Gina so that I could still be in the photos. I think it weirded Sutton out a bit. :) This is the doll:
This is the kitchen of the cabin they stayed in.
Adam taught Corbin to chop wood, and I hear he really enjoyed it!
If you ever go camping with us, you'll be lucky enough to experience Adam's amazing campfire cooking. Seriously...so good.
Campfire cobbler makes me especially sad I missed out. :(
Love this of the cousins:
Sutton requires these two blankies plus all these stuffed animals to sleep.
Sutton introduced his cousins to Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so now Breegan is a big fan too. :) They watched several episodes on the iPad.
