Ren's Christmas Program

Ren had his preschool Christmas program on December 9th. Since they only go to school 3 mornings a week and had a few breaks in there (AND since they're so young), I think they'd basically been practicing their program since they started school in September! Ren had sung us a couple of his favorites at home, but they did like 10 songs, so there were a lot!

He was pretty nervous before, and later said he was so nervous when they were walking in, to the stage.

Adam brought his video camera, and Sutton brought an ancient iPhone that he can use the camera on. It was pretty sweet to watch him record his little brother's program.

From the motions, I can tell this is one of his favorite songs that went "There was a chubby little snowman who had a carrot nose..."

"...along came a bunny and what do you suppose?"

"That hungry little bunny was looking for his lunch."

"He ate that snowman's carrot nose, nibble nibble CRUNCH!"

They had props for almost every song.

Ren generally got excited and started each song off exuberantly, then got distracted by his prop or something else and forgot to continue singing. Ha!

As they were walking out, cousin Corbin said "Ren" so Ren looked and smiled and waved:

Ren was lucky enough to have all four grandparents plus Aunt Jessica and cousins Corbin, Aubrynn, and Breegan all come to his program. After it was over, they had a reception for us. All the preschool kids went in first and sat down at this table that had been set up for them. They bowed their heads, and said their "God is good" prayer that they say at school before their snack time each day. It was very cute.

We all got to have cookies and lemonade and coffee.

Sutton's Christmas Program

At our old school, kids just had one music program each year and ours never fell around Christmas. So we were so excited that at our new small-town school, we have Christmas programs! Sutton's was on December 4th, and it's so cute how "into" his programs he gets. He was so excited and nervous, and did so well!

And here's a clip from Sutton's favorite song that they did:

Fall Family Photos

Long story short...but I ended up taking our fall family photos myself. Luckily my kids do really well with a tripod and a timer! This is a long post with lots of photos but making collages would've taken me forever, so I'm posting each photo individually. :)

These first two were test shots but I thought they were sweet!

Wonder how much longer Daddy will be able to hold both boys at once?!

So hard for me to narrow down, so even though these may all look the same to you...there are so many tiny differences to me!

More test shots that I just couldn't part with:

Probably my ultimate favorite right here:

And this is my phone wallpaper:

Time for Ren's alone photos, such a crazy kid...this is what he does when I ask him to pose:

And Sutton's turn!
