Top 5 {Things I Need to Do}

1. Put up the Christmas tree. I feel forced into putting it up since it's Sutton's first Christmas, but I'm just not motivated to do it. I know I'll thank myself later...

2. Put pants on my son.

3. WORK. Didn't realize I'd be quite this busy at the studio right now, but holy cow.

4. Clean my house. Ha.

5. Plan Sutton's 6 month photos. Oh, the pressure.

And just for good measure, here's a funny and very unflattering picture of the baby. Adam got a new camera on Black Friday at BestBuy and he was testing it out. Oh...baby, you're so funny.

Remember This?

Remember way-back-when I started a series of posting a "Top 5" on Wednesday? I didn't have much to post about, so I thought maybe we should bring it back. And I'm sure you can guess today's topic: Top 5 Things I Love About Sutton. :)

1. The noise he makes when he yawns. In addition to it being the cutest sound I've ever heard, I've always been a noisy yawner, so I think it's fun he takes after me.

2. How he smiles at the drop of a hat. He smiles at me, at dad, at his grandparents, at random waitresses. I hope he keeps this trait. He also laughs and that's pretty much the best thing ever.

3. How he's such a good sleeper. I don't know what I'd do if I had a baby that didn't sleep. Some mornings, he'll wake up too early for me, so I go get him and bring him back to my bed. Even if he's wide awake at that time, he'll usually fall back asleep with me.

4. The funny "old-man face" he makes when he cries. It's so endearing.

5. The simple fact that he's mine. I can call him my son.

Favorite Smells {Top 5}

Maybe a weird topic, but it's what came to my brain this morning...

1. Rain.

2. My dogs both have a very distinct body scent, and I love it (is this weird?). If they're really dirty, I don't like that dirty dog smell...totally not what I'm talking about. Our dogs get bathed regularly. But Diesel has really bad breath. That's also not what I'm talking about. Haha.

3. Pumpkin scented candles.

4. Goodies baking...mostly chocolate chip cookies.

5. Adam. He doesn't wear cologne, but I know his smell and it makes me attracted to him. :)

Best Days of My Life { Top 5 }

I like structure. So...we're going to start a tradition of "Wednesday's Top 5." I'll choose random topics and talk about my Top 5 whatever. You should participate too! Maybe we can start a trend. :)


For today, the topic is going to be the top 5 best days of my life.


1. My wedding day. Probably not much explanation needed. I would live that day over again 10 times. It was perfect and I got to marry my amazing Adam.

2. This isn't really a single day, but I LOVED our honeymoon. So any day during our honeymoon would have to make this list. That was the absolute best time of my life...we were in Hawaii, we were in love, we'd just become husband and wife. There was nothing but us. Nothing better.

3. The day I found out I was pregnant with my first baby.

4. The day I found out I was pregnant with my second baby.

5. I want to put the day I became a Christian, but since I was very young, I don't remember it well. I do remember being baptized, and that was pretty cool too, but I don't remember a lot of details of that day either. So we're going to combine the two to be my fifth best day.
