Adam + Gina = Love

You like my title for this post? Ha! Trying to come up with a title for a blog post about our Valentine's Day couples mini, and that's what came out. :)

Another local photographer who I have followed for awhile was offering couples minis for Valentine's Day. They were super short and relatively inexpensive which was why I figured I had a shot of getting Adam on board. I always need new photos of us for my Instagram, plus I always find it fascinating to see how other photographers do things/run sessions. So I signed us up!

We had to reschedule a few times due to weather and sickness. Adam was even sick the day of the session, but he was able to suck it up for 10 minutes. We even had planned a babysitter on the original date, but with miscommunications and rescheduling, we ended up going on a regular date the night we had the babysitter, and then bringing the boys with us the evening of the session. They just chilled in the car with their ipads while we got our glam on.

If you follow me on instagram, ignore these, as I still plan on using them and acting as if they're brand-new-never-before-seen photos. :) But I wanted to post them here as an easy way for me to look back on them through the years.

If you really want to know, he was whispering something completely inappropriate to make me laugh.

Coronado Heights

(I wrote/posted this in July, but backdated the post so it would be in order!)

Back in March, over Spring Break, we all got up early, loaded up the kids when it was still dark, and made the hour-long drive to Lindsborg, Kansas. Adam wanted to get some drone footage of Coronado Heights with the sunrise. It was so neat because we were the only people there.

The fog that morning was really pretty too.

What you don't see in the photo below is Ren screaming/yelling at Sutton because he doesn't want to "lose" the "race" up the hill. Everything HAS to be a competition.

He got in trouble and had a timeout on this rock. While still holding his muffin and crying.

These stairs are what I remember about going here as a kid. I feel like we couldn't drive all the way up to the castle, we had to do the stairs. And I remember there being a lot MORE stairs, though I'm sure that's just the kid vs adult perspective.

We ended up spending the rest of the morning in Lindsborg - stopping at a coffee shop for drinks and snacks, playing at a park or two, going to a Swedish horse store, and got Dairy Queen (lol) for lunch before heading back home!
