Recipe

I'm not great in the kitchen, so when I find a recipe that is easy enough for me to make and is GOOD, I've gotta share. I made this yesterday, and Adam and I both thought it was wonderful. (Totally looking forward to leftovers for lunch!) I'm sure you will too, as long as you're stuffing-lovers like us. I made this one other time for a dinner with my parents, but it'd been awhile, so I'd forgotten how great it was.
I started it at 9:30am with frozen chicken breasts, set it on low, and it was good to go by 5:30pm. Made the house smell amazing too. :)

Crockpot Swiss Chicken Casserole
Ingredients:
6 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
6 slices Swiss cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup milk
2 cups stuffing mix (flavored stuffing makes it awesome)
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Directions:
1. Lightly grease or spray crockpot
2. Place chicken breasts in crockpot. Top with a cheese slice.
3. Combine soup and milk, stirring well. Spoon over cheese.
4. Sprinkle with stuffing mix.
5. Drizzle melted butter over stuffing mix.
6. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours or high 4 to 6 hours.

ENJOY!! You can thank me later. :)

Best Video Ever

Three Videos

This is all I can do these days...videos. So I hope you like them!

First, (and I know it's dark) we have Diesel. We recently got a new bed and it's a lot higher than our old one, so Diesel can't get up there on his own. Heaven forbid I forget to put him up there when I'm up there. The whining doesn't stop.

Next is Sutton being a weirdo and moving his highchair backwards. He's recently discovered this maneuver and thinks he's so smart. Then he hears an airplane and starts waving at it.

And lastly, another dance to Backyardigans. This one is way better than the last one I showed you.

Favorite Show

Let me first start this post by telling you what's going on in our neck of the woods.

Monday and Tuesday, we had some crazy awesome rain, and even a little snow! Monday evening, I found that the basement was a little wet and just assumed that it was a minor leak from all the rain. Tuesday morning, Adam got up and found two of our basement rooms flooded and also found that there was no water pressure from any of our faucets throughout the house.

Long story short, our main water line broke.

Wonderful.

Adam stayed home from work to try to clean up all the water with his dad, plus he was sick, so he tried to get a nap in too. Rough day!

The plumber isn't able to come fix the pipe til tomorrow, so we've been without water since Tuesday. Showering at my in-laws and using water out of jugs to brush our teeth has been quite an adventure. And our house smells less than fresh. Ugh. I went to McDonald's this morning to use the restroom, ha!

Anyway...at least I've been working a TON lately so we have a little money that we normally wouldn't to use for the repairs. Look on the bright side, right? :)

On another topic...since we don't have a TV, Sutton doesn't know about many shows. We just recently discovered the Backyardigans on Netflix and he LOVES it. Mostly he just loves the opening song, and then he goes and plays during most of it, randomly dancing when they start singing again. Funny boy. I got a little video this morning of him being enthralled... (I think he bit his lip at the end and that's why he starts crying.)

My Little Family

Hi!!

As I previously told you, we had our family photos taken by the lovely Jaclyn Lippelmann last week. I finally had a chance to sit down and edit all my favorites. So here they are!

Sutton didn't give us many smiles, but I was totally okay with it. I know more than to expect my 16 month old to smile for photos, lol. So I love this one despite that:

And this one:

We part our hair the same. :)

The boys goofing around...

I'm so glad she got this one because I LOVE that this is how he holds our hands. He never wants our whole hand, just a finger. :)

Halloween 2011

Is that not the cutest train conductor you've ever seen?

Sunday evening, we took Sutton to trunk-or-treat at a church in Adam's parents neighborhood. (Those aren't bruises, we tried to make him look dirty.)

It was pretty chilly so we had to put on his sweatshirt.

He held onto that cracker the entire time we were out. Never ate it.

Sutton's favorite cousin was WonderWoman.

And his older cousin was BatGirl.

He got lots of candy but no chocolate! Bummer.

I was wearing a long black wig (hence the intense eye makeup) but it got real annoying and I had to take it off.

We tried to take a cousin picture when we were all done. It didn't go so well. Sutton was sick on and off this weekend (not sure if it's teeth or a cold), and he wasn't doing so hot at this point.

Happy Halloween 2011!!

Us :)

Just one quick one from our session tonight with Jaclyn! We got a ton of great photos, I will hopefully have a chance to post more soon. Oh, and some of Sutton in his CA-UTE Halloween costume. :)
