Gina: "What are we going to do for our anniversary today?"
Adam: "I don't know, didn't we just do something for your birthday?"
Gina: "Yes, but you could be a little more romantic about it."
Adam: "Roses are red, violets are blue, we just did something for your birthday, we're not going to do something for our anniversary too."
Thanks, hun. :)
So we played it low-key and we were all kind of off due to a lack of sleep the night before. Sutton decided to get up extra early yesterday morning, and then refused to nap and cried in his crib for about 45 minutes, which broke my heart. When he finally did fall asleep, we took a short nap along with him.
Then we got ready and went to a nice dinner at Hangar One Steakhouse. A bit of an adventure with a little guy who's obsessed with airplanes. He was yelling "Mane! Mane! Beeeeeeeg mane!" (Plane! Plane! Big plane!) at the top of his lungs and making airplane noises the.whole.time. And it's supposed to be kind of a quiet restaurant...whoops.
Our "official" anniversary photo.
Sutton was excited to "Eee!" (eat).
Turning the wine list into an airplane. Normal.
After dinner, we went for a walk by the river. Sutton had a great time running around and getting sweaty. He kept showing us the "goo" (gooses...er...geese) that were going "nigh nigh."
We came home and put the kiddo to bed and watched a movie to finish off our anniversary. Don't worry, we're already planning for next year so that will hopefully be more exciting. :)
